Pricing & Reports

Costs, credits, what's included in a report, architect verification, and team accounts.

How much does a ψ-value calculation cost?

Your first ψ-value calculation is free. After that, each calculation costs £10. There is no subscription, no minimum commitment, and no annual licence. A 15-junction house costs £140 — or £0 if you are assessing your first junction. Calculations are purchased as credits; unused credits do not expire.

Do I need an account to calculate a U-value or run a Glaser check?

No. Both are available with no sign-up at all, from the free check page — enter a wall build-up and see the U-value and Glaser result immediately. An account is only needed once you want to save a project, run a ψ-value junction calculation, or generate a report.

Can I buy ψ-value credits in bulk for a discount?

Yes — credit bundles are available at a lower per-credit rate than buying one at a time, for practices running multiple calculations. Bundle credits work exactly like ordinary credits afterwards: same balance, same never-expires policy.

What is included in a ψ-value report?

Every ψ-value calculation produces a BR 497 compliant report, delivered as an editable Word (.docx) document — not a fixed PDF — so you can edit or annotate it yourself before it goes to a SAP assessor or Building Control. It includes: the calculated ψ-value in W/(m·K), the fRsi temperature factor, colour isotherm plots showing the temperature field, the processed cross-section with material assignments, the boundary conditions applied, a competent person declaration (or architect verification if requested), and an AI-generated narrative describing the junction geometry and thermal performance.

What is the architect verification add-on?

The architect verification add-on allows a qualified architect to review your submitted DXF, the assigned materials, and the processed cross-section, and confirm that the report accurately reflects the provided inputs. The architect is not re-running the FEM calculation — the mathematics is independently validated against EN ISO 10211 reference cases. What the architect confirms is that the geometry, materials, and processed output shown in the report are a credible representation of the architectural detail as submitted. This provides an additional layer of professional assurance for practices that require it. Architect verification is priced in credits, with a real £ figure shown before you request it (currently 5 credits, £50) rather than a bespoke quote.

What is Psiclops Assist, and how much does it cost?

Psiclops Assist is an interactive AI chat session attached to a specific assembly or ψ-value junction. Inside it you can ask questions about the calculated result, get suggested changes to improve thermal performance or resolve a condensation risk, and, for a U-value assembly, request the annual condensation analysis (see the U-values & Glaser FAQ) directly from the conversation. Assist never calculates a ψ-value, U-value, or condensation figure itself — every number it discusses comes from the same deterministic solver used everywhere else in Psiclops; Assist only explains and suggests. A session costs 1 credit (£10), the same flat rate as a ψ-value calculation credit, charged only once a real opening reply has actually been generated — never for simply opening the page, and never if the attempt fails — the annual condensation analysis carries no separate charge if you request it within that same session.

What is the AI improvement analysis?

After every U-value or Glaser check, you can request an AI improvement analysis at no extra cost. The AI reviews your assembly layer by layer and suggests specific changes to improve thermal performance or resolve condensation risk — repositioning the vapour control layer, increasing insulation continuity, switching to a higher-performing product. Suggestions reference published thermal conductivity values and are specific to your actual build-up, not generic guidance.

Does Psiclops compare my U-value against Part L, Future Homes Standard, or Passivhaus benchmarks?

Yes — the AI improvement analysis includes a comparison against real published benchmarks for your element type (wall, roof, floor, or ground floor): the Part L backstop U-value, the Part L notional dwelling figure, the Future Homes Standard, and the Passivhaus range. This gives you an immediate sense of where your build-up sits, not just a pass/fail against one single threshold.

Can multiple people on my team share one Psiclops account and credit pool?

Yes — a team account gives everyone on it access to a shared project library and one pooled credit balance, purchased by the team owner. It's free to create a team; you only pay when the team actually needs credits.
